Digital Business Ireland (DBI), the leading representative body for the digital commerce and tech sector, has today (1 September) announced the launch of their inaugural National Digital Awards series.

Celebrating its sixth year, the National Digital Awards 2026 is poised to reward digital excellence and innovation across a multitude of sectors in Ireland. Entries are accepted from today (September 1st, 2025), with businesses, individuals, and organisations invited to showcase their achievements in the digital space and benchmark themselves against the very best in the business.

Following the success of last year’s programme, which attracted submissions from over 600 businesses and organisations, the 2026 National Digital Awards will once again spotlight Ireland’s top digital performers and innovators, rewarding excellence across Websites, Innovation, and People.

Winners of last year included top brands like HERSPORT, Fáilte Ireland, Heineken and Waterways Ireland, who took home the coveted National Website of the Year Award. Sponsors of the awards this year include industry leaders such as Core Optimisation, Byrne Wallace Shields, Hibernia Venture Labs and more.

As the past year has seen landmark developments in digital transformation, artificial intelligence and accessibility regulations, categories such as Best New AI & Machine Learning Project, Digital Advocate of the Year and the Progressing Diversity Award are expected to be hotly contested. Accessibility will remain a key focus across all categories, as in previous years, with extra points awarded to business that have excelled in adopting inclusive digital practices.

Speaking at the launch of the 2026 iteration of the National Digital Awards, Chairperson, Caroline Dunlea said: “Year on year, the National Digital Awards have grown into one of the standout celebrations of Ireland’s digital sector. They shine a spotlight on the businesses and individuals driving innovation, setting new benchmarks, and shaping the future of digital in Ireland. Each year the standards rise, and we are excited to see the 2026 Awards build on that momentum and recognise the leaders who are setting the pace in digital excellence and innovation”.

Winners will be announced at a prestigious ceremony in Dublin in February 2026. Entry is free, and DBI is encouraging businesses and individuals across the country to get involved and mark themselves out against the best in the business.
