Empowering businesses in Ireland to transform their payments will be the hallmark of the partnership
The country’s dedicated representative body for online businesses, Digital Business Ireland has today announced its first partnership of 2022, with leading global cloud-based payments provider, Checkout.com. Today’s announcement is a further testament of the organisation’s commitment to partnering with progressive, cutting-edge suppliers, and helps to solidify its status as Ireland’s leading representative body for the digital space.
With digital payment functionality becoming a key feature for retailers over the course of the past two years, the partnership with Checkout.com comes at a crucial time – as many businesses seek to enhance their online offerings to customers. The payments provider currently has 19 international offices and processes transactions in more than 150 currencies. As Digital Business Ireland continues to expand its extensive community of more than 6,000 businesses, this latest strategic partnership will help to further stimulate that growth, while providing crucial industry insights to the membership.
This year, the representative body anticipates a busy first quarter which will feature the annual Digital Business Ireland PTSB National Digital Awards – of which Checkout.com is a category sponsor, lending its support to the ‘Social Media Campaign of the Year’ award. In addition, the organisation will leverage Checkout.com’s innate knowledge of the payments industry, in continuing to offer its complimentary advisory services, insights and learning events to its network.
Speaking today, Secretary General of Digital Business Ireland, Lorraine Higgins said: “Our decision to partner with some of the most prominent digital innovators, both on a national and global scale, is what has ultimately enabled Digital Business Ireland to thrive as an organisation. Today’s announcement of our partnership with leading payments provider Checkout.com is indicative of our continued desire to work collaboratively with industry leaders, in helping to advance the digital agenda in Ireland”.
“Both Digital Business Ireland and Checkout.com are bound by a shared desire to empower enterprise-level merchants to elevate their digital payment offerings in a targeted way. As a result, I am confident that this will be a constructive, fruitful partnership. We look forward to working with the brilliant team at Checkout.com, and we thank them for their support”.
Jordan McCarthy, Sales Director at Checkout.com Ireland, added “Checkout.com is delighted to partner with Digital Business Ireland (DBI) as part of our expansion into the Irish market.
