DBI Premium Membership
1. Benefits
1.1 The current, up to date benefits can be found at www.digitalbusinessireland.ie/membership/premium
1.2 All benefits are provided “as is” and DBI makes no recommendations or give no warranties about them.
1.3 DBI reserves the right to update and change the benefits from time to time. Some benefits may be available on a “first come, first served basis”
1.4 Where benefits are to be provided by third parties, DBI does not accept any responsibility or liability for them.
2. Fees
2.1 DBI reserves the right to increase the membership fees from time to time.
2.2 Any increase will be notified to you in advance and will only come into effect at your next renewal date.
2.3 Payment will be due annually on 1 January. Membership will thereafter auto renew on 1 January each following year. Your membership will be cancelled, if full payment is not received by 1 February annually.
2.4 To opt out of the auto membership renewal you must provide at least one month’s written notice before 1 January in any year to INFO@DIGITALBUSINESSIRELAND.IE.
2.5 No refunds are available during any membership year.
3. Data Protection
3.1 DBI will only store and process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which can be viewed here: https://www.digitalbusinessireland.ie/privacy-policy.
4. Misuse and Indemnity
4.1 You will comply at all times with our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) which can be viewed here [LINK]. We may terminate your membership if you fail to do so.
4.2 You will indemnify us against any claims resulting from your failure to comply with the AUP and any other misuse of the members’ area.
5. Limit of Liability
5.1 Other than for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud, our liability to you in any membership year will not exceed an amount equivalent to the membership fee paid by you for such year.
6. Governing Law
6.1 These Conditions are governed by Irish Law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) outlines the standards and guidelines for members of Digital Business Ireland (DBI) in order to ensure responsible, and ethical behaviour. The policy applies to all members of DBI, including directors, employees, and any other stakeholders who have access to resources or hold responsibilities within the body.
1. General Conduct
– Members must act with integrity, transparency, and professionalism at all times.
– Members should respect the rights, opinions, and dignity of others and avoid any behaviour that might harm the reputation of the body.
– Members are expected to uphold the values of fairness, equity, and respect for diversity in all activities.
2. Use of Resources
– Members must use the body’s resources, including physical and digital assets, for official purposes only.
– The use of funds or assets for personal, political, or unauthorised purposes is strictly prohibited.
– Resources, such as office supplies, technology, and staff assistance, should be utilised responsibly to support DBI’s mission.
3. Confidentiality and Information Security
– Members are expected to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information obtained through their role.
– Disclosure of confidential information without proper authorisation is prohibited and may result in disciplinary action.
– Members should ensure the security of digital information by adhering to data protection laws and following organisational cybersecurity protocols.
4. Communication and Media Use
– Official communications, whether internal or external, should be professional, accurate, and respectful.
– Members should not make public statements that could be construed as representing the views of the body unless authorised by the communications team to do so.
– The use of social media should be mindful of the potential impact on the body’s reputation. Members should avoid inflammatory, discriminatory, or derogatory comments in both personal and professional contexts.
5. Conflicts of Interest
– Members must avoid situations that create or appear to create conflicts of interest between their personal interests and their duties to the body.
– Any real or potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed immediately to the appropriate authority within the body.
– Members must not use their position for personal benefit or for the benefit of family, friends, or associates.
6. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
– Members must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing their conduct as representatives of the organisation.
– Members should familiarise themselves with anti-corruption, anti-discrimination, and whistleblower protection laws to ensure full compliance.
– Any contraventions of legal or regulatory requirements should be reported immediately.
7. Gifts and Hospitality
– Members must not accept gifts, hospitality, or other benefits that may influence, or be perceived to influence, their decision-making or actions in their official capacity.
– Any gifts or offers of hospitality that could create a conflict of interest or undermine the integrity of the body must be declined or declared as appropriate.
8. Political Activity
– Members must distinguish between their personal political activities and their official role within the body.
– Public resources, time, or position should not be used to advance personal or partisan political agendas.
9. Accountability and Reporting
– Members are accountable to the organisation for their actions and decisions.
– Violations of this policy should be reported through designated channels, and members must cooperate fully with any investigations or audits.
– Disciplinary actions for breaches of this policy may include formal warnings, suspension, removal from office, or other appropriate measures.
10. Enforcement and Updates
– This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure it remains current and aligned with legal and ethical standards.
– Members are required to acknowledge their understanding and acceptance of this policy upon assuming an organisational role and at regular intervals during their tenure.
– Failure to adhere to the policy may result in sanctions, as determined by the body’s governing rules or an ethics committee.
