The Digital Business Ireland – permanent tsb Digital Awards celebrate the very best of digital businesses in Ireland and reward websites and people across a number of sectors to reflect the online world that businesses now inhabit, trade and communicate in.

What we celebrate...

In 2020, the Digital Awards will recognise individuals and organisations in thirteen categories:

Websites

This award recognises and rewards an exceptional website servicing the consumer. The judges will be looking at the user experience, creativity, functionality, quality and compliance of the website.
This award recognises and rewards an exceptional website less than 18 months old. The judges will be looking at the user experience, creativity, functionality, quality and compliance of the website.
This award recognises and rewards an exceptional eCommerce retail website. The judges will be looking at the user experience, creativity, functionality, quality and compliance of the website.
This award recognises and rewards an exceptional eCommerce website retailing beauty products, medicines or pharmaceuticals, health supplements or treatments. The judges will be looking at the user experience, creativity, functionality, quality and compliance of the website.
This award recognises and rewards an exceptional food or drink sector website. The judges will be looking at the user experience, creativity, functionality, quality and compliance of the website.

Innovation

This award celebrates and rewards a Social Media campaign that has successfully enhanced the visibility of a business trading online. The judges will be looking at the campaign’s objectives, content, strategy, creativity, implementation and the results it created.
This awards celebrates and rewards an innovative tool, product or service that has changed business for the better or delivered outstanding results using digital means. The judges will be looking out for new features / tools added in the last twelve months.
This award celebrates and rewards an innovation hub that has delivered outstanding service to the business community in the last twelve months.
This award celebrates and rewards an outstanding app that is consumer friendly, effective and delivered a seamless experience to the consumer in the last twelve months.

People Awards

This award recognises and rewards an exceptional influencer who demonstrated best use and practice of social media, strategy and influence.
This award celebrates the achievements of a leader in digital business who has scaled new heights and made substantial progress in the past eighteen months. Entrants must include details of their career to date and the contribution they make to their organisation and the wider digital industry.
This award celebrates an exceptional female professional working in a company that embraces digital. Entrants must include details of their career to date and the contribution they make to their organisation and the wider digital industry.
This award celebrates an exceptional digital professional under 30 years old working in an agency or in-house. Entrants must include details of their career to date and the contribution they make to their organisation and the wider digital industry.

Awards
The finalists in each category will be invited to attend the DBI – permanent tsb Digital Awards 2020 on the evening of Friday 22nd of January 2021. Details to follow.


The Judging Panel

The awards are judged by an esteemed panel of industry leaders and experts. Judging is a rigorous two-stage process including pre-scoring to determine shortlists and a further judging meeting where entries are discussed and evaluated in detail to decide the winning entries.

Terms and conditions

Nominations are accepted from companies, organisations and individuals working in Ireland with a digital, online or ecommerce presence or who use social or digital media to propagate a companies goods or services.

Nominations must be completed in English and submitted through online forms, indicated in each category description.

The jury will assess the nominations against a set of criteria and choose five finalists in each category on the 3rd of December. Finalists will then been invited to make a further submission which will be considered at the second round of judging which will happen on the 14th of January. A winner will be selected in each category thereafter.
